Reason #29

Last night I was debating myself on the logistics of how to bring down barriers to acceptance of non-sexual nudity and I found myself struggling to convince myself that the cause was attainable. Full of doubts this morning I turned to one of my favourite resources: 205 Arguments and Observations In Support of Naturism.

There are many arguments in this paper that I like and even a few that I don't like. I specifically draw your attention to an example in #29.

29.  [...] In our culture, a person who exposes their sexual parts for any reason is considered to be an exhibitionist. It is assumed that they stripped to attract attention and cause a sexual reaction in others. This is seen as a perversion.
Hypocritically, if someone dresses specifically to arouse sexual interest, they are considered to have pride in their appearance. Even if they get great sexual gratification out of the attention others give, there is no suggestion of perversion or sexual fixation.

I encourage you to ponder this hypocrisy and place your thoughts in the comments.
